Tammany Carter

Instructor

I began working in child care in 2005, which is when i took my first CPR course. When I opened my own preschool in 2009 I felt it was important for all teachers to have the knowledge, skills and confidence to help save a life if it were ever necessary. I made sure that my staff and myself were current in certification every 2 years.

In 2018, I decided that I would take the extra steps to become an instructor, and achieved that goal in October.  The idea at the time was to help train my fellow child care teachers but word of mouth helped expand me to others outside the field. I have also provided training to parents, sitters, nannies, as well as office personnel.

In 2019, I was offered teaching position at Nashville State Community College for a First Aid/ CPR course, where I am currently still teaching part time.

Since 2018, CPR training has just been something that I have done on the side when people would reach out to me. Having full time and part time positions, I didn't have much time to schedule many trainings. In 2023 I will be putting more focus into making this a full time business. I am excited for this new journey and look forward to hearing from you about how I can help schedule a training tailored to your needs!
